Brooke Dockyard and Petronas were honoured to have The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Chief Minister of Sarawak to grace the Official Opening of Demak Fabrication Yard, The Loadout of Bokor D Substructure and The completion of Anjung Topside Projects for Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd. in Demak Fabrication Yard, Jalan Bako.

The auspicious event was witnessed by Mr Mazuin Ismail, Senior Vice President, Project Delivery and Technology, PETRONAS and Datuk Abang Haji Abdul Karim Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Chairman of Brooke Dockyard and Engineering Works Corporation.

Demak Fabrication Yard

Demak Fabrication yard is located at Demak Laut Industrial Estate Phase III which is 5km from Sejingkat Yard. 60 acres of land is aim to provide a secondary fabrication yard for oil and gas Modules and Marine Engineering fabrication in order to enhance its capacity and capability.
Development of Demak Yard begin in 18 September 2013 and awarded to Keller Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and Song Construction Sarawak Sdn. Bhd. Achieved completion of Demak Fabrication Yard was in December 2016.

Demak Yard and Sejingkat Yard has a capacity of 16,500 matrix tonnes and 8,500 matrix tonnes respectively. Therefore, the overall fabrication capacity for Brooke Dockyard is 25,000 matrix tonnes/year. These yards were tested for readiness with the first project ANJUNG substructure followed by BOKOR substructure from Petronas Carigali in June 2017.

EPCC Anjung Topsides and Substructure Project

The EPCC Anjung contract was awarded to Brooke Dockyard and Engineering Works Corporation by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd on 25th April 2017. The scope of works covers details engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) .

The EPCC Anjung Gas Development project located offshore within the Central Luconia Province, approximately 180km North West of Bintulu, Sarawak (part of Kumang Cluster PSC).

First substructure for Anjung fabricated in Demak Fabrication Yard and completed ahead of schedule and successfully loaded out in September 2018. ANJUNG Topside has completed and obtained MCD on 20th December 2018 as per plan and scheduled to be sailed away in mid-April 2019.

EPCIC BOKOR PROJECT


The Bokor (WHP) contract was awarded to Brooke Dockyard and Engineering Works Corporation by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd on 12 April 2017. The scope of works covered front-end engineering design (FEED) and detail engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) for 3 Topsides and 3 substrucures namely, BOKOR-D, BOKOR-E and BOKOR-F.
The Bokor Field is located within the Baram Delta in the South China Sea, about 45km North West of Lutong, Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia in a water depth of approximately 70m. Equity in the field is shared between PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) and Sarawak Shell Berhad (SSB), with PCSB as the operator.
BOKOR-D Substructure will loadout in March 2019 and installation will begin in end March 2019

ISO 45001:2018 Occupational and Safety Management System

Brooke Dockyard successfully obtained the new certification ISO 45001:2018 and made it into the Malaysian Book of Records as the First Organisation to Receive ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health Safety Management System under the scope ” Fabrication of Structural Assembles and Modules for Oil & Gas Industries” by Sirim QAS International Sdn Bhd in 19th July 2018.The Management and team of Brooke Dockyard had completed all 3 standards simultaneously, namely ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2018, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 in an astounding period of 4 months.

Brooke Dockyard Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) for Anjung and Bokor Projects has clocked 2.2 million man hours without Lost Time Incident (LTI) and contributed to 13.2 million accumulative man hours without Lost Time incident (LTI) for the past 12 years.
