CONTRACT SIGNING FOR E6DP-A PROJECT

Today, marks the auspicious day for Brooke Dockyard where the Contract Signing Ceremony of E6 Field Development Project (Fabrication of E6DP-A Substructure and Topside) was held between Sarawak Shell Bhd and Brooke Dockyard and Engineering Works Corporation. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Right Honourable Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Datuk Amar  Dr. Haji Adenan Bin Satem.

Brooke Dockyard  are indeed very thankful to be given opportunity to execute the contract for Sarawak Shell Bhd and as the last project we completed to Shell was St Joseph Redevelopment project way back in 2009.

The contract was awarded to Brooke Dockyard by Sarawak Shell Bhd on 5th September 2016 with scope of works covering the provision of project management, fabrication engineering, procurement, manpower, materials, consumables, equipment and facilities necessary for the onshore fabrication of the E6 platforms.The platform will be deployed at the E6 field and developed as an integrated oil and gas facility. Oil and gas will be evacuated via existing infrastructure, namely the D35 and E11 hubs respectively.

The E6DP-A total tonnage up to 5,000 matrix tonnes (1450 Matrix Tonnes Topside and 1500 Matrix Tonnes Jacket) including piles and conductors.

The E6 development is a part of the SK308 production sharing contract awarded by PETRONAS to Sarawak Shell Berhad (50%, operator) and PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (50%).

Signing for Shell were Simon Ong, Managing Director, Shell Global Solutions Malaysia and Jill Chieng, General Manager, Sarawak Shell Berhad. Representing Brooke Dockyard were Hajah Norhizan Haji Sazali, General Manager and Lubau Genam, Senior Manager, Front End Unit. Also present were Zamri Jusoh, Vice President of Malaysia Petroleum Management at PETRONAS; Datuk Iain Lo, Shell Malaysia Chairman; and Simon Durkin, Managing Director, Sarawak Shell Berhad.

Brooke Dockyard grateful to Shell for its confidence to undertake the E6DP-A project in and recognition of Brooke Dockyard as the first fabricator in Malaysia entrusted to execute a project using our own health, safety and environment management system.
