Brooke Dockyard and Engineering Works Corporation,
a name synonymous with the heritage and culture of Sarawak
was established in 1912, making it the oldest shipyard in
Malaysia. Brooke Dockyard is a government statutory body,
100% owned by the State Government of Sarawak under the
Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Communications.
It has been providing employment for the people of Sarawak
for over 90 years, and dealing in the repairs of Government
vessels and machineries, as well as servicing private
vessels.
Brooke Dockyard, started as a
major offshore modules fabricator in 1996, and has
accomplished more than 14 offshore modules and offshore
living quarters and 6 substructures. Since then, other
success including building the Navigational Boats, Multi
Mission Vessels, ferries for marine engineering works and
steel-arch bridges in efforts to be a major service provider
in the petroleum, marine and manufacturing industries.
Today, Brooke Dockyard and
Engineering Works Corporation (BDEWC) is an integrated
engineering corporation, building customized products with
no compromise on the standards of safety and quality
Our quality management system is accredited to ISO 9001:2000
in 1999 by Lloyds Register in Shipbuilding up to 2,500 DWT
and fabrication of structural assemblies and modules for the
oil & gas Industries, assessed and acknowledged by our
reputable clients through external audits.
Brooke Dockyard now has a proper protocol of Quality Manual
and QA/QC Procedures to support project execution works.
