Another Fast Track Project, Water Injection Topsides (WP-IA) was completed by Brooke Dockyard in 6 months. The water Injection/Wellhead Satellite Platform (WP-IA) Project was awarded by Murphy Sarawak Oil Co., Ltd on 11th March 2003 to Brooke Dockyard.

The Water Injection/Wellhead Satellite Platform (WP-IA) will be situated at the West Patricia Field located approximately 46 km offshore Bintulu, off the coast of Sarawak, has a water depth of 40 metres. The WP-IA Platform was designed for an injection capacity of 40,000 bwpd.

The WP-IA Platform utilizes the same lightweight four legged structure as used on the WP-PA production facilities. The Jacket was installed by jack-up rig and the topsides will be installed utilizing a float-over method.

The WP-IA topsides weighing 620 tonnes was completed on schedule on 30th August 2003. The loadout of the topsides was completed by 12th September 2003 and, upon seafastening, the topsides will be transported by barge to its final offshore destination. This is the third Fast Track project undertaken by Brooke Dockyard and follows the 200 MT South Furious Topsides and 400 MT Substructure for Sabah Shell Petroleum Co., Ltd, completed in May and June 2001, respectively.
