BROOKE DOCKYARD SUCCESSFULLY LOADED OUT SHELL F23 LIVING QUARTERS
A significant milestone was achieved by Brooke Dockyard when the 60 - man F23 Living Quarters for Sarawak Shell Berhad was successfully loaded out and this marked the first offshore living quarters built by Brooke Dockyard. The F23 Living Quarters will be situated about 133 km offshore Bintulu.
The contract covers the engineering, procurement, fabrication, inspection, testing & commissioning, weighing, loadout and seafastening of the Living Quarters. The contract scope also undertakes the supply and fabrication of ship-loose materials for offshore hook-up and commissioning (including commissioning and start-up spares) within and between the new Accommodation Module, new Helideck and existing Utilities Module.
F23 Living Quarters weighing about 1180 metric tonne was completed in August, 2008.
Presently, Brooke Dockyard is also building 2 accommodation modules for Shell, that is the 60-Man F6 Living Quarters and prefab modular section of a 42-Man Light Weight Stressed Skin B11 Living Quarters.
